Chicago is covered with snow, we barely see the sun, and these things make life feel like a Tim Burton film.
Hiding from the cold, we have been hibernating and using this time to rediscover our record collections. We consider ourselves vinyl addicts, constantly needing to pick up new releases to add to the collection.
This sale is for all the rest of you addicts.
So until the snow melts on the ground here, all Seventh Rule vinyl will be $9.99 ppd for single LPs and 14.99 ppd. for 2xLPs!
Going through the list of all the vinyl we have released, we hadn't realized some things had gone out of print, and while that's a bummer, it gives us the incentive to put out more vinyl!
Stay tuned for our 2010 releases, you won't be disappointed.
So don't hesitate to pick up the essentials.
($9.99 /14.99 PPD is for U.S. shipping, additional postal charges are applied for shipments outside the states.)
Here is your chance to pick up the following at a great price:
Sweet Cobra "Bottom Feeder" Etched 12"
Indian "The Sycophant" LP
Indian "The Unquiet Sky" 2xLP

SIX YEARS.
Its Seventh Rule's 6 Year Anniversary!
You know how its always exciting to get a receipt from your meal at the Cracker Barrel and the total is $6.66? Well we would like to recreate that experience for you and show our love and appreciation by bringing forth the Seventh Rule $6.66 sale!
That's right, ALL SEVENTH RULE CDs IN THE ONLINE STORE are only $6.66 POSTAGE PAID until December 31st!!!
So do it now at www.seventhrule.com/store . ($6.66 PPD is for US shipping, add a couple dollars for shipments outside the states.)
Doing this label for six years now we feel is an amazing feat and we took the time to look back at the year we started by going through our old website edits and emails sent and received. These were the statements made by a young independent record label in 2003 / 2004. Perhaps we shouldn't be making these public knowledge but we like to think we have a sense of humor and hindsight is always an excellent source of comedy.
Here are the best of em:
"We should easily be able to sell 6,000 copies of that CD."
"I just can't wait to be able to make a living touring 6 months out of the year."
"We just want to break even."
"I need to work on making the website load fast on a dial-up connection"
"Ya know man, I just feel $12 is too much for an LP."
"We should be able to quit our day jobs and just do the label by 2008, don't you think?"
"Hey Wilson, Can you check on my order for the Buried At Sea LP I ordered through your site one week ago? I am really bummed I haven't received it yet, and think you need to do a quicker job at shipping."
(OK, I hope everyone knows by now that Wilson is our dog and in the beginning we made all orders go to him because we thought it would be funny, and It was funny! yes handofdoomcamero666@hotmail.com , you were sending an email to a DOG.)
and our favorite:
"Yeah, I don't really see a point in selling our music through iTunes. It like charging someone for files that are just sitting on your hard drive."
Hopefully you find some humor in reading the above, and thank you for the years of support. We aren't going anywhere.
Cheers and Happy New Year!

SEVENTH RULE SIGNS KONGH

Seventh Rule proudly welcomes Scandinavian doom lords Kongh to its eccentric family.
Hailing from Sweden, Kongh brings doom metal with a progressive melting pot of ideas whose origins stem from the spirit of their godfathers -- Melvins, Yob, and Candlemass.
The follow-up to their critically acclaimed “Counting Heartbeats” debut, “Shadows of the Shapeless” will be released by Seventh Rule to the North American region in early 2010.
“Shadows of the Shapeless” was recorded and mixed in Sweden by Peter Lundin and mastered by Peter In de Betou (Entombed, Meshuggah).
Kongh will be touring throughout 2010, including dates in Europe and the United States.
